Paula Tupling-Prest - Central Ward I have lived in Lytham St. Annes for 27 years and have two children.

My daughter attends Lytham St. Annes High Technology College and my son will start at Lytham Hall Park School in September.

As a parent I am therefore in touch with local education needs from pre-school to secondary. Additionally, my parents who are retired and living locally constantly keep me informed of the concerns of older residents.

When I previously served as a Ratepayer councillor for Fairhaven Ward I was a member of the Development Control Committee and held the Vice-Chairmanship of the Environmental Committee.

Planning and the environment are both areas which interest me greatly. I earnestly believe that we need to tighten control of building development and that doing so will help us to ensure a sound and prosperous environment for local residents.

I will always listen, question, and act accordingly to the wishes of the majority, at all times working to the best of my ability. The wishes of residents are paramount and I will always ensure that your views are heard.

If elected, I will, so far as I can:
	Continue to recognise that Ansdell is very much a residential and commercial area
	Endeavour to preserve the unique ethos of Lytham St Annes which makes it so pleasant for both residents and visitors
	Do everything possible to ensure the continuing prosperity of the area, seeking to create a wide range of new employment opportunities.
	Challenge mediocrity and indecision at the Town Hall. I believe that Councillors need to 'stand up and be counted' with leadership courage and persuasion.
	Be available to any resident wishing to discuss local concerns
	Put people before politics
	Ensure full value for public spending

A Message From Hilda Wilson

My husband, Ron and myself have had the honour and privilege of representing the residents of Ashton Ward for 24 years in Ron's case - and Park Ward and Ansdell Ward for 12 years in my own case, but we have decided it is now the right time to step down.

I have known Paula for some time and this fact made the decision a little easier because I found her to be a very capable Councillor.

In fact she was made Vice-Chairman of an important committee during her early days on the council. She carried out her duties with competence and integrity and was always prepared to listen to residents and worked for good solutions to problems.

I was very pleased when she agreed to stand for Ansdell Ward in the forthcoming election and I am happy to give her my backing. I would like to thank you for the support given to me in the past.
